How does Printlooper work for sellers?

Built for sellers with an existing store or audience. Browse exclusive designs, create products with live margin math, sync to Shopify, and we fulfill every order.

What is the seller role on Printlooper?

Sellers turn designer files and supplier capacity into retail products for buyers they already reach. You bring the audience. You browse the exclusive catalog, pick designs you want to sell, run them through a product creation wizard, and publish to your Printlooper storefront, a connected Shopify store, or both. When your customers buy, Printlooper routes production to your chosen supplier and handles billing, royalties, and tracking sync.

Your profit is the difference between what the customer pays at retail and what Printlooper charges you for fulfillment, designer royalty, platform fee, transaction fee, and shipping. The margin calculator shows those numbers live before you publish so pricing is deliberate, not guesswork. Estimates are margin per sale. Orders come from the traffic you bring.

How do I create and publish a product?

The seller flow walks you through supplier selection, material and color variants, product copy and images, and retail pricing. You pick a supplier whose materials, bed size, ratings, and lead time fit the design; incompatible shops are filtered out so you do not list against a partner who cannot make the part.

When you publish, variants and images sync to Shopify if connected, including COGS where applicable. Orders placed on either channel flow into Printlooper for the same fulfillment pipeline.

How is my per-order cost calculated?

Each order stacks fulfillment cost (supplier production based on weight and pricing rules), designer royalty (a percentage of retail snapshotted at publish), platform fee (a tiered percentage of retail plus any per-order transaction fee on lower seller plans), and shipping (label cost from Shippo at fulfillment time). Tax estimates appear separately in the calculator.

Seller platform fees are 6% on Free, 5% on Basic, and 4% on Pro, with transaction fees waived on Pro. Subscription pricing covers software access; fulfillment and royalties are always per order.

The formula used throughout billing tools is consistent: profit equals retail price minus fulfillment cost, royalty, platform fee, and transaction fee, with tax shown as its own line. That transparency lets you compare variants and suppliers before committing to a listing.

What happens after a customer orders?

Paid orders route to the assigned supplier for acceptance, printing, and shipping. You track status from accepted through processing, printing, printed, shipped, delivered, and fulfilled in Seller > Orders. If the supplier declines, capacity, material, equipment, or deadline, the platform automatically tries the next eligible supplier, up to three auto-reroute attempts, before flagging manual reroute.

When the supplier ships, tracking syncs back to Shopify automatically so your customers receive carrier updates without manual work.

Do I need Shopify?

No. Printlooper storefronts work on their own. Shopify is optional but popular for merchants who already run an ecommerce stack. Sync covers product title, description, variants, images, pricing, and COGS on publish, and order plus tracking flow both directions when connected.

Whether you sell on Printlooper alone or alongside Shopify, you never hold finished inventory. The model is print-on-demand fulfillment after your customer buys. Printlooper does not drive shopper traffic to your products.
